Road – CCCX Circuit Race at Fort Ord
Trina and Edwin raced at Fort Ord Sunday August 8, 2010 in the Central Coast Circuit Race promoted by CCCX, Keith Defiebre. The race course was closed to traffic and made for a fast race. Edwin went off at 2:00 p.m. with a field of 30+. After dominating the field from the start, Edwin and one other rider were off the front after 2 laps. Edwin took a prime and finished in 1st place. Trina was up at 2:05 and from the start her race was fast. With an average speed of 19+ mph, the 11 women field was a mixture of category women 1/2/3 , 35+ and 4s. Two strong riders from the 1/2/3 category got off after 2.5 laps which left the remaining women 35+ and 4s. After working hard into the wind on the hills Trina placed 1st in her category of 35+.
